Vesta System | Investors

Xavier has devoted its career to developing business in software. After a PhD at INP, he was CTO of CEDRAT, a software company in electro-magnetic simulation. He went back to INP to integrate innovating ideas and business ambition, and he met Frédéric and Stéphane to launch the Vesta-System business project.

Jean-Luc has worked in research institutions, large companies and startups. He is also a co-founder of Kalray, was director for “Smart Electric Systems” for the EDF Group in Europe, and was in charge of software programmes at CEA Tech. He is involved in startup accelerators and initiatives for startups, cyber physical systems, Artificial Intelligence and Smart Energy in the EU. He worked with China at government level and spent some time at Stanford University. He was trained in mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. Jean-Luc is convinced that Information Technologies and Artificial Intelligence are a key tool for the necessary energy transition for all. This starts with equipping the billions energy consumers with energy intelligence, and then in their federation into a new energy system. This is Vesta-System's mission.

INPG Entreprise S.A. is a private corporation founded in 1991. It is a subsidiary and commercial structure of Grenoble INP. Its mission is to promote the results of Grenoble INP's research activities. It brings together 6 internationally renowned engineering schools, 900 researchers and 22 specialized laboratories. Our mission is geared around three activities: INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTS. Our goal is to promote industrial innovation and provide companies with easy access to the latest scientific and technological advances. We also give researchers the opportunity to promote the results of their research. In order to support these projects, we also offer administrative services to laboratories. RESEARCH COMMERCIALISATION. Our expertise actively contributes to promoting the results of Grenoble INP's research work. START-UP. We invest in the capital of high-tech start-up companies directly issued from research.

Frédéric gave birth to the basic technology used at Vesta-System. He is a Research Director and manages the MAGE team (Models and Methods for Electricity) at G2ELab. He applied his research to smart building management.

Stéphane is a Professor at INP, and was instrumental in applying energy technology to buildings, which gave birth to Vesta-System.
